The verge flashing is attached to the
sidewall cladding by the use of rivets or
stitching screws at 400mm centres. If the
wall cladding is profiled a filler must be
used at this junction to prevent ingress
into the construction. An apex flashing
unit is available to suit roof slopes
between 2° and 18°. The apex flashing
TR10 overlays this unit and is sealed
using filler F2TR10MP at the end of the
ridge flashing. To form the basis of
support for the flashings at this junction,
the apex filler support zed is butted and
sealed to the verge support VFS 1. A
clearance notch is required in the verge
apex flashing unit to provide full length
support to the ridge capping.
